Operating Scissors, 18cm

Ring-handled Operating Scissors are a pair of surgical scissors commonly used in general surgery for cutting and dissecting tissues. The 18 cm length is a versatile size that can be used for a variety of procedures, including biological and medical research.  Our operating scissors are for general use in dissection, preparation of tissue samples, and small animal surgeries. These surgical scissors are available with a variety of tips, including two sharp pointed blades, one sharp and one blunt blade, or two blunt blades. They are available in both surgical grade stainless steel and our premium German steel, making them more durable and resistant to corrosion. Our Operating Scissors are designed to withstand the high heat and chemical exposure of the sterilization process. They may be autoclaved.

TIP: When selecting the size of your operating scissors, consider the size of the area you have access to. A larger space allows you to use longer scissors, and in confined spaces you will need a shorter pair of ring handled surgical scissors, and in restricted spots you may require a pair of fine spring scissors. You may also consider the depth you are trying to access. The deeper the cuts, the longer your operating scissors need to be. And, depending on the size of your hand, you may select a pair of scissors that fits comfortably in your grip.
